Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, my love of music surfaced at a young age. I was accepted to Birmingham Southern Music Conservatory at 14 but a decision to investigate the remnants of the Beatnik era took me from formal piano recitals to buying my first guitar and singing in Birmingham coffee houses.

I moved to Auburn, Alabama and continued to perform professionally during the 1970s and 80s with several bands but eventually music took more of a backseat while I attended Auburn University pursuing a degree in Agronomy, worked as a research associate and raised my two daughters. A fascination with computers lead me to post graduate work in computer science and the development of a web design business. Realizing the void, I later resumed my musical pursuits and began performing solo in local nightclubs in Auburn, Birmingham, Mobile, and Columbus, Georgia blending the genres of blues, country and folk into an urban folk style.

A move to State College, Pennsylvania four years ago resulted in me devoting my time and energy to establishing a web design business but once again, I am beginning to re-invent music in my life. Currently, I am concentrating on song writing and studying bluegrass guitar while playing at festivals in the Northeast, local venues and house concerts.
